At Rhodes Dental Care, we endeavour to assist patients that require emergency treatment as soon as we can. Please provide as much information as possible when you contact us so a timely appointment can be scheduled for you. We will do our best to offer same day emergency appointment.

Common dental emergency may be:

  • Toothache

  • Cracked/chipped Tooth

  • Knocked-Out Tooth

  • Broken/lost fillings

  • Wisdom Tooth Pain

  • Facial Swelling

  • Dental trauma/bleeding

  • Infection & Abscess

  • Sporting injuries

Accidents can happen to anybody at any age, but knowing what do when a dental injury occurs is critical. Dental trauma such as fractured or avulsed teeth need to be treated as soon as possible for a higher chance of survival for the tooth.

Teeth that be cracked, chipped or become loose from accidents, and impact injuries can cause long term damage if not quickly assessed and treated by a dentist. If you chip your tooth, even slightly, always book an appointment to see your dentist and be sure to inform them over the phone that you’ve had an accident so they can see you as soon as possible. Try to collect any tooth fragments or knocked-out tooth and transport them in milk to your dentist. Do not put them in water as the cells surrounding the tooth may be damaged by water. If possible, your dentist may re-attach the fractured fragments to the broken tooth or even put the tooth back into the socket.

Please contact the dentist as soon as possible is such an unfortunate event happens.
